A quick Polaroid that I snapped last month…
Things have been busy in Minor Thread land… with a lot of new things on the horizon. Looks for a big shop update in the next month or so, as I’ve been working on a lot of new, great things for you all!
But for now.. a little Polaroid love. Taken with my favorite SX-70 camera.
My first visit to the coffee bar at our new local roaster, since their official opening day.
My cup of the day.
I was thrilled to see a late-morning crowd of people, just enjoying the drinks, the space and good company.
Wishing we had room in the loft for a whole army of these stools…
Looking good, guys. Looking good.
Bored with my plain cork coasters, I decided to punch them up a little. The hard part is knowing when to keep going, and when to stop. I found myself wanting to draw little triangles long into the night.. but sometimes fewer is better.
As much as we’ve accomplished with our loft, I’m always on the hunt for that next thing that is going to make it even better.
I love these chairs. They’re vintage– thrifted, really– kind of crazy. Really amazing and.. just a little ugly. I mean, ugly in a good way. Ugly in that “I survived the 70’s” kind of way. And hell, they’re comfy.
But another part of me loves the idea of fiberglass shell chairs, or a huge wooden bench upholstered with vintage fabric. Maybe someday? But for now. Embrace the yellow naugahyde.
Now that the crush of the holidays is over, the new year has been celebrated with lots of food and friends and the house is clean (thank goodness, finally, the house is clean!) we can get back to what we do best.
Simple. Warm. Good.
